Romilly | Women's Black Winter Boots with Quilted Shaft and Buckle Trim

Cold morning, coffee in one hand, the long way around the park. Romilly is the boot you reach for when the sidewalks are icy and you still want to look put together. The shaft settles into soft folds around your calf, the low block heel keeps you steady on packed snow, and the gold-tone buckle catches the light with every step.

She works with the jeans you already live in, tucked straight into the shaft, and just as well under a swingy skirt with thick tights. Add a long coat and a big knit scarf and you have a winter uniform that takes ten seconds to pull together. The school run, a December farmers market, a walk with the dog before it gets dark, a late train home: these go everywhere you go from November through March.

The side zip means you are out the door fast, no wrestling, no sitting on the stairs. The quilted panel at the back adds a little texture so an all black outfit never falls flat, and the lugged sole holds on when the path turns slick.
